CLEANING TIPS :

For Cleaning Silver
Get a container big enough for the silver item, partially fill it with hot boiling water and a 1/2 box of sodium bicarbonate, a.k.a. baking soda, place some clean aluminum foil in the container then dunk the tarnished item in the bucket. The silver item has to touch the aluminum. It works in a few seconds, no scratches, no muss, no fuss, Rinse the item off afterward. There is no adverse environmental impact, none of the ingredients are in any way toxic (they are food grade!), there is no abrasion or scratching of the silver and you can use your bare hands to remove the treated items from the solution. Just rinse and dry the silver when you are done.Works like magic.



For built up crud -
like on high places like ceiling fans or fridge tops - use a foam cleaner.Cuts grease and makes dirt easily removable in a fraction of the time.



Upholstery cleaning.
If you can take off the pillow covers - wash them in the washer after spot cleaning. Partially dry in dryer. Replace them when slightly damp...and take your hairdryer to dry them out thoroughly. This prevents shrinkage.Remove all hair from furniture and crevices...apply a foam furn. cleaner. Vac clean and spot clean hard areas.



Ripped area?
Try to take a piece of cloth from the backside or underside of the couch or chair...cut a small piece to fit rip or tear...hand sew it to suit.



Kitchen wood cabinets...dull?
Use lemon oil to clean and brighten or if if it is real wood and not fiber board - use a light cote of poly-urethane.It will protect the wood and give that shiny appearance.

For cleaning computers and screens and keyboards use ONLY rubbing alchohol and q-tips and a can or air...A small broad make up brush will also help with lint....We can detail this for you.

Removal of glues, tape, sticky stuff
-Remove all that is easily movable...Apply cuticle oil or other oil...Saturate area -Wipe off excess -Take a small nail sponge pumice buffer (or very soft sandpaper) -All clean - without harming paint...



If you don't care about the wall paint (will be repainting) - you can use nail-polish remove with acetone ( cuticle oil or other oil will still help soften old hard stuff )and harsher - sandpaper to smooth...
